i'm a musician and a performer. as a singer and an acoustic guitar player, i've been performing covers for over ten years -- mostly folky stuff, but not always. primarily artists like richard shindell, dar williams, martin sexton, ani difranco, weeping tile, and ben harper, with the occasional cyndi lauper or marvin gaye tune thrown in for good measure.
my influences are wide-ranging and this, i think, is reflected in my work, but my original material is acoustic singer/songwriter stuff at heart. i believe in storytelling, honesty and live performance, supported by strong vocals and challenging guitar work. click here to listen to my music.
i'm also a theatre artist, having worked as an actor and co-creator with independent companies such as toronto's stranger theatre and halifax's angels and heroes theatre. since moving to vancouver, i've been working primarily with green thumb theatre for young audiences, all the while making connections to the thriving independent theatre scene here.
i've been a hobbyist in photography for a number of years. i used to use an old canon SLR, but i've moved into the world of digital, and i've put some shots up on the photography page for you to see. maybe i'll make a little business of it -- prints and homemade greeting cards for sale, that kinda thing. we'll see.
